Tomb Raider is a famous video game series which first episode was released in 1996 (Tomb Raider on Playstation) Published by Eidos, the series was developed by Core Design until the sixth episode. The development of the last two games of the series (Tomb Raider Legend, released in April 2006, and Tom Raider Anniversary released in June 2007) was confided to Crystal Dynamics.

By moving the gameplay of action/adventure/platform games from 2D to 3D, Tomb Raider managed to become one of the very first hit of the Playstation. Twelve years after the release of the first episode, Lara Croft (Heroin in each episode) is still one of the most famous ambassador for video games. The universe of the series, and the heroin have been declined in various forms, from cinema adaptations (starring Angelina Jolie) to comics, and even novels.
